Standard Materials Purchasing Specifications

The following are standard specifications on commercially coated steel. Steel purchased by AST must be certified to meet these minimum standards. All steel certificates are kept on file.

Galvanized Coated Steel:

ASTM A653, G-90 coated Galvanized Steel, Grade 40, Structural Quality.

Galvanealed Coated Steel:

ASTM A653, G-90 coated Galvanealed Steel, Grade 40, Structural Quality.

Galvalume™ Coated Steel:

ASTM A792, AZ 55 (metric=AZ 180) coated Galvalume Steel, Grade 40, Structural Quality.

All steel is quoted and purchased to a minimum decimal thickness.
